If you know me, you know I love any chance to celebrate so when Hana from Moomookachoo asked if I would love to collaborate with her on her July Magical Days Calendar I jumped at the chance to blog about national cookie day.
Recently I watched ‘The Alison Show’ cookie party, if you dont know about Alison she is rather amazing. She throws super cool parties, has ‘how to be awesome’ you tube videos and is pretty damn fabulous at making cookies. So when Alison released the cookie party I knew I had to buy it, turns out it inspired this blog post
When planning a party I usually add sugar cookies to the menu as it always pulls the theme together nicely and the kids love them, they also make gorgeous gifts or favors
No chilling required, winning!
I have a mad collection of cookie cutters and picked a few of my fave shapes to work with. I mostly did donuts because I knew they would be super easy! I will admit I’m not awesome at decorating as I’m always in a hurry but sprinkles detract from the not so perfect royal icing (TOP TIP! haha)
So if your super busy/lazy like me I highly recommend getting someone like Vanessa from Vans Cakes to make your special cookies
Vanessa has made me cloud, fox and ice cream cookies for my parties
Happy national cookie day xx
