Annaliese has shared her son Nikau’s Animal party and 1st birthday as our featured party!
Nikau just loves lions so we decided to go with an animal theme.
We didn’t follow it through 100% and the theme swapped and changed and ended up being a bit of everything eg mint and silver, confetti and animals.
I’m a daycare teacher and Nikau comes to work with me and his absolute favourite toy that he was so attached to was a plastic lion. Every morning he would seek it out and not let it go for the majority of the day. That’s how the animal theme came about the other themes came up as I was shopping at Pop Roc Parties and saw so many pretty things!
Popcorn in our Eco Chic cones and cone tray
Cute animal cupcakes
Mini milk bottles with confetti + mint stripe paper straws
Celebrating with my little Nikau. It was a very emotional day for me. It was full of laughter one minute and tears the other. I just couldn’t believe my baby was one.
Nikau also enjoyed his first ever baking (cupcake) and a marshmallow which I think was his highlight.
TIP FROM ANNALIESE:
Enjoy the day and try not to be too stressed, everything will work out!

I love pastels and ice cream so when I saw this gorgeous Ice Cream party Tracey created for her son Bodie’s 1st birthday I melted a little!
Tracey did such a wonderful job of pulling together so many great ideas like painting over a New World collectables shop to create this the ice cream shop stand
The cake smash photo shoot above was actually used for the party invites (such a great idea!!)

I love the darling simplicity of this 1st Birthday Bunny Party Mamma Haley of Lovely Like You
styled for her daughter Flossie
Haley made the red velvet bunny birthday cake.
Nana made the cookies and bunny cupcakes
I adore the pink and mint colour scheme with the flowers, foliage and bunny wall stickers tying it all in together
Thanks so much Haley for letting me share xx
When it came time to start planning for my daughter Pippa’s first birthday it was very important to me that I made this momentous first year as special as possible for her, and I wanted to do this by creating beautiful memories for her with photographs to have for when she grows old enough to love and appreciate them.
I spent many hours searching through all the wonderful ideas and creations I had seen online from fellow parents who were clearly extremely talented and very crafty!!
I felt so inspired by all the prettiness and knew that my first task was to pick a theme!! Sounded easy enough right?….. well I soon discovered this was going to be the hard part!
I wanted to do them all!!
Eventually I nailed it down to a Flamingo theme…. Pretty and girlie!
My first love for flamingos started when I discovered ‘Sapling Child’s’ beautiful range of children’s clothing, which i admit I may have had just a slight obsession with their collection ‘Flamingo Vine’!! Pippa was often sporting a Flamingo or 10!!
As I am also slightly mad about all things Floral i just couldn’t help myself, while I was planning and preparing all the goodies for her big day little bits of floral came flooding through……….. so over the next month or so my Flamingo theme literally blossomed into ‘FLAMINGO AND FLORAL’
Those flamingo cookies!
What gorgeous girls!
Seriously the cutest cake smash Ive ever seen!
Thanks so much Nicole for letting us share this amazing party!
