Valentine’s Day

Valentines Picnic Collage
A couple of years ago I styled and shot a small Valentine’s picnic, which I think is a really sweet idea at this time of year!  Grab yourself a picnic mat, crate and package up some goodies to eat for a romantic picnic in a dreamy spot

For this picnic I made plum rose cakes packaged in our kraft window boxes, a cheese and crackers box, ambrosia in our quilted ball jars and pink lemonade in mini milk bottles along side our hand stamped wooden cutlery, pink paper plates and pink heart doilies.  Click on the collage to see more photos.

Last year I put together a little afternoon tea for the kids

Valentines Afternoon Tea Birdseye

For the snacks I made raspberry chocolate cupcakes in mini polka dot cupcake cups, white chocolate dipped pretzels with sprinkles, mini love heart candies, heart shaped watermelon on our ‘LOVE’ stamped ice block sticks and to drink Pink Panther’s (ooooh childhood memories!) in our ball pint jars

Valentines Raspberry Lemonade

I’m a big fan of red and pink for Valentine’s and mix it up with polka dots I’m one happy lady!  And our limited edition Valentine’s straw mix is just the ticket for celebrating at home!

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

This month on Moomookachoo’s magical calendar I choose ‘Teddy Bear Day’ to celebrate by having a simple teddy bears picnic afternoon tea

September 2015 Magical Days Calendar FeatureI love the opportunity to theme something special for the kids.

And inviting friends over and throwing a wee picnic in the backyard is a fun way to break up the school week

Teddy Bears Picnic 2

I gathered a few items from our hire collection (picnic mat, white wash crates, those cute enamel bowls, pink flower grass mats), the kids teddy bears, jasmine from the garden and Sophia’s Noah & Bowie bear blanket

Whitewash crates are always fab as a prop

On the menu was banana milk which I thought would look pretty with the lavender, Tiny teddy cookies, gummy bears, cute lotte koala cookies, Delmaine apples tarts for the textural picnic look and cassava chips
